The most important decision you’ll make
Buying a new home will easily be one of the most important decisions of your life. It isn’t just the most expensive item that you’ll be buying. It becomes the place where you and your family will be spending most of your time in.
What’s the problem with buying homes?
Many people still fall into some of the same traps – attracted by the sales pitches of property agents. They offer you great visions of nearby food places and convenient shopping. Moreover, the prospects of enticing facilities and great security will draw you in as well.
However, these just aren’t the most important aspects of home buying.
What to focus on?
Price aside, we feel that the layout of the floorplan is the most crucial thing. These include: the direction which it faces (depending on whether you’re spending most of your time at home in the morning or evenings); the room sizes; and your preference about the kitchen and toilets.
Why? It’s simply because that’s where you’ll be spending the most of your time – in your home. Going out to buy groceries and eating nearby are likely going to be minority of your time. Focus on the important things the next time you’re considering a unit.
